INTRODUCTION
In this final post on retirement communities, I am profiling the senior living projects in the North, the East and Western India. Based on whatever is available in the public domain, I have taken up mostly the new and upcoming projects in Rajasthan, Dehradun, National Capital Region (NCR) in the North, Kolkata in the East, and Pune and Ahmedabad in Western India.
All these projects are fully fitted out with various senior friendly fitments and also a host of recreational, wellness, and other facilities that have become the norm in the new crop of retirement communities that are being set up.
NORTH INDIA
RAJASTHAN
ASHIANA HOUSING
In the North, Ashiana Housing was one of the earliest to venture into the area of senior living. Their first project in 2005 was in the form of independent living units at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. Over the years, they have expanded their operations to other cities such as Jaipur, Lavasa (Pune) and Chennai.
